What is Technical Arts Ministry? 

Technical Arts Ministry is defined as using media (lights, sound, video, computer, etc) to enhance the worship experience. We are a part of the Music and Worship Ministry.

Nothing should put us more on fire for God than participating to enable people to become completely engrossed into worship. These are people who are into worship. They are not thinking about how the lights look, or the sound. Rather they are falling before our Mighty Creator in total worship.

Many people do not understand the need for Technical Ministries. They believe that they have done without for so long, they do not need it. Why do we need all this stuff?

Our society has become one that is stimulated in many different senses. We have to compete with the television and video game era to keep the attention of the people. Unfortunately people are used to sitting and being entertained instead of participating. Technical Ministries allows the worship to contain items that will stimulate the senses (from light, sound, video, etc). This allows the worshiper to feel more comfortable in their surroundings and be able to worship easier.

When we allow the distractions of the world to keep us from worship, we will never reach a oneness with our God and experience worship and He has created it. Our goal as a ministry is to make all the technology transparent and to aid in the ability for all in attendance to experience worship by using lights, music, video, slides, etc.

Technical Arts Ministry is one of servitude. Our great God has given everyone talents. We have committed to using our talents for enhancing others to experience a oneness in worship with our Creator.

1. We are now offering the sermon on CDs. You can get a copy of the CD immediately after the service so you can take it home with you on the same day - or you contact the office (330-644-6121) to order a copy.

2. The video and narration for the special events and concerts is made at our church. For special events or other needs, we have purchased the equipment to make videos and DVD’s. This is all done in-house by our technical department.

3. We need more people to help with technical ministries.

Technical Ministry Needs

As with every ministry, we need people to help to get all the jobs completed.

We are looking for people that are interested in helping with Technical Arts Ministry. No experience is needed - Just a desire to learn and a willingness to be committed to the ministry. We typically begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday for rehearsal and work a few Wednesday evenings for training and system maintenance.
