CHURCH MEN'S MINISTRY
Men of all ages participate in our men's
activities. It is good to
have a cross
generational approach to the issues of life. The
following are some of our activities:

NEW MEN'S GROUP BEGINNING IN SEPTEMBER 2008
“It’s a Man Thing” – This is a
men’s discussion group, made up of high school
young men, older men, and the ones in between. It will be meeting every Monday night starting
September 15, from 7:00–8:30 p.m., for
thirteen weeks. The final week will be a
fellowship meal at a local restaurant. This
group will be using the book entitled, The
Hazards of Being a Man: Twelve issues men face
today. All men are invited to take part in this
group.
Men's Fellowship Breakfast
–
This is a
monthly gathering of men where they touch base
with each other, have a delicious breakfast, and
listen to a personal testimony from an ordinary
man
who is depending upon God for strength,
guidance, and support with what life has given
him. There may also be some material presented to challenge the men in their walk of
faith. Meetings are scheduled every third
Saturday (September thru May) at 8:00 a.m.
Annual Men’s Conferences – Our
men are strongly encouraged to attend the Moody
Men’s Conference, which is held every year
during February at Parkside Church in Solon,
Ohio. We also promote local Promise Keepers
events.
Men’s Retreat Day – Here is a
time for men to get away from the house and work
and concentrate on their walk with God. Special speakers are invited to share with the
men, a small group discussion with relevant
topics, food, and great fellowship! Such a
retreat day is being planned for the future.
Spiritual Leadership Training
– This specialized training class is offered at
least once a year. It is for men who may or may
not currently be leaders, but would like to be
prepared for when God places them in such a
position. This can be the spiritual leader in
the home, at work, or at church. Two texts are
used in this course: Spiritual Leadership by
Henry Blackaby and The Master’s Plan for the
Church by John MacArthur. Each session involves
discussing one select chapter in each book. The
next class will be offered in January 2009, and
will meet every other week for six months.
