Our children's ministry is looking for volunteers for the 2s and 3s second service, one week per month, on an ongoing basis. If you're interested, email Sarah Wroblewski, our Director Children's Ministries.
You may have noticed that the name of our adult ministry group has changed. With the new year and some new expanded direction and vision, I felt that a broader title, based more on who we are rather than what we are, was better served. So, as of January of this year, our adult ministry (formerly called Pacesetters) is being called Encore Ministries and we will expand to welcome anyone 50 years of age and older. The dictionary definition of Encore is "a second achievement that even surpasses the first." Certainly, as we all continue on our life's journey, the future has even greater potential for us based on our past achievements. I want to help our adults celebrate the value they bring from those life experiences to our multi-generational church family. With God's grace and His faithfulness in our lives, the days ahead for our church will be an "encore" for us all.
Led by Josh Kline. They are open to adults of all ages and in all walks of life- single, married, divorced, widowed- everyone is welcome! Life is painful and hard. Thankfully, as believers in Christ, we do not have to journey through this life by ourselves. We are all broken, and no one should feel as though they don't belong. In John 13:35 we are comforted by these words, “By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” Whether you are a new believer or have known Christ for years and are looking for a place to grow in Christ where you can be real, where you can be vulnerable, and where you can be encouraged.
In this series, pastor and author J.D. Greear wades into the book of Judges to shine a light onto the muddy waters of human rebellion. The stories and truths within are not just archaic tales with no relevance for us today. Rather, J.D. works through each chapter unpacking the truth of God’s grace in the midst of human wickedness, and shows how only the divine can redeem the fallen.
Led by Pastor Gary Meeks. This ABF is in the Chapel at 8:15am. The class is open to all who want to attend and is generally made up of a group that is 55 years and older.
Led by Dan Minard. This group of people from all ages pray and learn about God together. They tend to work through books of the Bible in their study. You are welcome to come to class and see what they are all about.
Led by Terry Smith. They are currently studying the book "The Jesus I never knew" by Philip Yancey. Ages all over the map: 20's to 80s, but most are 40-60 yrs. Most studies are expository in nature.
This class is where high school grads, college students, and young married couples can encourage one another to pursue a closer walk with Christ.
In this series, Louie Giglio will take us through the book of Colossians to help us form a complete picture of Jesus. What we believe about Him influences everything from our corporate worship to our relationships to our attitude toward sin. Now alive in Christ, we can live a life worthy of God instead of falling back into the ways of the world.
Led by Gary Graber. This class is a great place to connect and learn about God. They are open to all ages. and would love for people to come to class and see what they are about.
Led by Rich Arny and Dave Bradford. They meet together each Sunday for prayer and snacks and Bible study. The class is open to all ages. They are beginning the study of the book of Acts. Whether young or old, Acts begins with the ascension of Jesus Christ, the filling of the Holy Spirit, Peter's sermon at Pentecost, the beginning of persecution for believers, Peter warned, many prayers for boldness and the first church is established. Acts tells of the problems, great offerings, various leaders placed in position, the life of Stephen, and the trouble maker Saul who is chosen by the Lord and is now named Paul. Acts is active and full of great victory for the steadfast believers. Paul obeys the great commission to go and reach out to the Gentiles with his missionary journeys. The Lord still needs the "Pauls" of life today to spread the same message.
Led by John Tummel. They are a group of people who love to pray together and work through faith together. Known for being all over the map in who they are as individuals. The group is open to all ages but generally draw people from 30 to 55. They would love for people to join their class.
Your support allows us to operate and serve our community all with the goal of glorifying Jesus and making Him known. A portion of all general fund donations goes directly to the missionaries we support.
